Provided services description:
Objective:
To prepare a comprehensive Feasibility study in order to define a bankable Project to Armenian Water and Sewerage CJSC (AWSC) for rehabilitation of water supply in ten and wastewater systems in three regions of Armenia. The PIP cost to be implemented though three tranches amounted to EUR 80 mln. (EBRD, EIB and donors’ funds) and focused on:
- Rehabilitation of water intakes;
- Construction and rehabilitation of water mains, distribution networks and water storage reservoirs as well as wastewater collection networks;
- Water metering;
- Modernization of disinfection facilities;
- Construction of WWTPs.
Main activities under the assignment:
› Baseline study and technical assessment of operated facilities.
› Determination of development needs and outlining of a long-term investment strategy.
› Setting of investment priorities and determination of the Priority Investment Program.
› Determination of an efficient implementation strategy for the PIP.
› Technical and financial feasibility assessment of the proposed investments including whether it is the most effective least cost investment programme.
› Financial analysis of the Company and preparation of financial projections for a period of 20 years (from 2016 to 2035).
› Preparation of a financial and economic model.
› Environmental and social assessment including resilience to climate change.
› Resource Efficiency Assessment.
