Provided services description:
Objective: the overall objective of the feasibility study is to provide the Bank with the information, analysis and recommendations to comprehensively assess, structure and approve the Project as well as provide the project stakeholders with the complete set of reports meeting the local requirements for formal approvals of the investment Project to enable the timely implementation. The Project focuses on construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 100,000 m³/day with the total capex amounting to about EUR 70 million. The Project is a part of the nationwide wastewater treatment plant modernization program initiated by the Government of Kazakhstan. The Project will allow to eliminate shortcomings of the existing sewerage system and to treat municipal wastewater according to local and EU environmental standards
Tasks within the FS cover:
› Description of the Project baseline and rationale;
› Development of the Project Design;
› Financial and Economic Analysis;
› Environmental and Social Assessment;
› Client Assessment;
› Development of the Procurement and Contracting strategy;
› Risks assessment;
› Green Economy Transition (GET) Assessment;
› Alignment of the Project with the Bank’s Mandate;
› Preparation of the Local Feasibility Study (the “TEO”);
› Local Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA or the “OVOS”).
